Early in their marriage, Jeffrey and his wife, Melissa, felt a strong desire to return to Jeffrey’s hometown of Temple to raise their children. With this in mind, they moved the family from Abilene to Fort Worth so he could attend the Texas A&M University School of Law with the ultimate goal of joining Linzy & Thigpen in Temple.

The two met in Abilene while attending Abilene Christian where Jeffrey played football and majored in Business Management. Melissa graduated with her degree in Early Childhood Education. They married soon after Jeffrey completed his MBA at Hardin-Simmons and Jeffrey began his career in banking.

In 2012, they decided Jeffrey should revive his abandoned dream of becoming a lawyer.

The family now lives in Troy, just a few miles from where Jeffrey grew up, where they are raising their five children.
